Privacy Policy Digital Communication
Date: 7. April 2021

1. General
Digital Communication, or DC for short, takes data protection very seriously and treats personal data in particular as confidential and in accordance with statutory regulations. No personal data is collected, processed or passed on to third parties about the general use of our website. Personal data is information that makes it possible to identify a person or information that can be assigned to an identifiable person. This also includes contact details such as name, date of birth, postal / e-mail address and telephone or mobile phone number.

Personal data is only recorded in the context of the entries you voluntarily and explicitly entered (e.g. newsletter registration, filling out a contact form) and therefore only used with your individual consent. The data you provide will only be used for the purposes specified (e.g. sending newsletters) and to comply with mandatory legal obligations (e.g. tax law). Any further use or disclosure to third parties will only take place with your explicit consent.

Remember that data transmission on the Internet can generally be subject to security gaps. Full protection against unauthorized access is not possible. If you have fundamental concerns, use other options to get in contact with us.

2. Use of cookies on our website (cookies are currently not used, but Google)
In order to be able to design our website for you personally, we use cookies. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer when you surf our website. A cookie can only contain information that we send to your computer ourselves - personal data cannot be read with it. If you accept the cookies on our sites, we do not have access to your personal data, but with the help of the cookies we can identify your computer.

Most of the cookies we use are deleted from your hard drive at the end of the browser session (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your computer and enable us to recognize your computer on your next visit (so-called permanent cookies).

If you do not want to use the advantages of cookies, you can modify the cookie handling in the security settings of your browser. The setting option is usually located in the Extras menu under Settings or Internet options. However, we will then no longer be able to offer you some of the functions of our website.

3. Web analysis with Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics also uses "cookies", which enable an analysis of the use of our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. So-called IP anonymization is activated on our website. Your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address will only be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there in exceptional cases. Google uses this information to evaluate the use of our website or to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website and internet usage to DC, these are: the name of your internet service provider, the version of your browser software, the operating system the computer that was accessed, the website from which you are visiting us, the websites that you visit on our website and, if applicable, search terms that you used to find our website. This data may allow conclusions to be drawn about a specific visitor to the website. However, personal data is not collected and used in this context. Such data is only used anonymously. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. We would like to point out that Google Analytics has been expanded to include the code "gat._anonymizeIp ();" on our website in order to ensure an anonymous collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; we would like to point out, however, that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by clicking on the following link (http: // tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de) download and install the available browser plug-in.

You can find more information on the terms of use and data protection with regard to Google Analytics at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.

4. Social Plugins
Certain pages of www.dc.at have easily recognizable so-called social media plug-ins that allow you to share or link the respective page on your social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn, XING). These functions are not associated with any collection or further processing of personal data at DC. However, this allows the respective social media provider to assign your visit to our website to your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or their use by the respective social media provider. If you do not want your social media provider to be able to assign your visit to our website to your user account, then do not use the social media plug-in function.

5. Links to Third Party Websites
Our website may contain links to websites that are not operated by us. We offer this as a service without implying any endorsement of the activities and content presented on these websites or any connection with their operators. We strongly advise you to check the privacy policies of the websites you visit before using them or disclosing personal information.

6. Changes to this privacy policy
Since this information is subject to the current legal situation, we reserve the right to change this data protection declaration accordingly in the future or to adapt it to the current legal situation. We therefore recommend that you read this data protection declaration at https://www.dc.at/privacy regularly in order to stay up to date on the protection of the personal data collected by digital communication.

7. Claiming the rights of data subjects according to the GDPR
Please send all inquiries on the topics of information, correction and deletion regarding any personal data processed by us about you to the following e-mail address: office@dc.at. The inquiries are free of charge. The user has to prove his identity.

Provided that your request regarding the correction and deletion does not conflict with a mandatory legal obligation to store data, you have the right to have your personal data corrected or deleted by DC.
